Vida was among dozens of local nonprofit organizations that recently received in-kind technology and cleaning/sanitizer donations from the Appleton-based from U.S. Venture/Schmidt Family Foundation. The donations were part of the foundation’s annual grant program and in response to this year’s COVID19 pandemic.
Vida received 10 laptops and gallons of cleaning solution/sanitizer.
The laptops are used by Vida medical clinic and support services staff during clinic visits with patients, for virtual support service sessions with clients, and by staff for other clinical or operational needs.
During COVID19, cleaning solution and disinfectant was more difficult to come by, so U.S. Lubricants, a division of U.S. Venture, pivoted to make some cleaning solution and sanitizers and donated them nonprofits and healthcare organizations in the area, including Vida. The medical clinic remained open during COVID19, so the donation of cleaning solution and sanitizer helped ensure staff and patients remained healthy and well during their Vida clinic visits, helped with enhanced cleaning protocols, and removed the financial and resource burden of obtaining the sanitizer themselves.
Vida relies upon the financial and material generosity of donors, sponsors, partner organizations, and grant programs, such as U.S. Venture/Schmidt Family Foundation, to advance its mission and work. The material and financial donation from U.S. Venture’s charitable foundation exemplifies the spirit of giving and generosity in the Fox Valley.
